Long Description
Figure 1. Washington CAD-TMC System Architecture.
Diagram shows how elements of the Washington CAD-TMC system are integrated.
Emergency vehicles communicate between themselves, and GPS information is transmitted to the statewide communication system via mobile data terminals.
The WSP CAD (labeled "primary"), composed of the CAD database, the WSP CAD Server, and a Universal Data Transfer (all of which communicate among themselves), takes in information from the Skagit County EMS CAD and other CAD (both of which are labeled "secondary.")
The Primary CAD system connects to both the world wide web and the XML/ERM, which are used to interact with the WSDOT Traffic Management Center (comprising the CARS Server and CARS database). The secondary CAD systems utilize only the world wide web to interact with the WSDTO Traffic Management Center.
