| Project Description: | This study developed a strategic plan for statewide deployment of ITS. CHART is Maryland's statewide transportation management program. This specific study developed a CHART strategic plan. Two areas that received emphasis are traffic management strategies and communications alternatives. The effort initially concentrated on congestion management in the Baltimore-Washington corridor. Both current and future needs were evaluated, including the application of ITS technologies and services. This project also provides for CHART systems integration using Congestion Mitigation Funds. | |
