Project Description:   This project is the FY 2000 ITS Integration Program earmark for San Francisco, California. This project is a preliminary stage in the design and construction of a new Central Control facility for the San Francisco Municipal Railway. The Central Control Facility is the communications nerve center for all modes of transit operated by the City/County of San Francisco. The earmarked funds will be allocated to contract with a consulting firm to develop specifications for a Replacement Radio System.

The scope of the specification will include analyses of alternatives which meet the Municipal Railway's objective and requirements and phasing for the project. There are seven deliverables to satisfy project completion.
